6. Cancellation Policy
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time at no charge.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 100% of the appointment fee.
- Missed appointments (no-shows) will also be charged 100% of the appointment fee.
- By booking an appointment, you agree to this cancellation policy and authorise Balanced Acupuncture to charge the applicable fee using the payment method provided at the time of booking or held on file.
- We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you believe you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible, and we may, at our discretion, waive or adjust the fee.
7. Health & Medical Disclaimer
Balanced Acupuncture provides traditional acupuncture and wellness treatments designed to support general wellbeing. Our services are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or care provided by a doctor or other healthcare professional.
We do not diagnose medical conditions or offer medical advice. You should consult your GP regarding any health concerns. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, have a pacemaker, or take medication, it is your responsibility to seek relevant medical advice before receiving treatment.
Balanced Acupuncture accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your failure to disclose relevant medical information or follow medical advice.
8. Client Responsibilities
By booking an appointment, you agree to:
- Provide full and accurate information regarding your health, medical history, allergies, medications, and pregnancy.
- Notify us of any changes to your health before each session.
- Arrive on time for appointments.
- Follow aftercare guidance provided.
- Inform us promptly if you experience any adverse reactions.
Balanced Acupuncture reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment where it is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
9. Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of treatment unless otherwise stated. We accept the payment methods shown on our Website or booking system.
Deposits (where required) are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
If payment is not made on time, Balanced Acupuncture reserves the right to recover the outstanding amount and any reasonable costs incurred.
10. Refund Policy
- Payments for completed treatments are non-refundable.
- Refunds for prepaid packages, block bookings, or gift vouchers are at our discretion and may be adjusted for sessions already used.
- Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
- No refunds apply to missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Where you cancel outside the 24-hour window, any prepayments may be refunded or credited toward a future appointment.
11. Late Arrival Policy
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to avoid affecting subsequent clients. The full appointment fee still applies.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, this may be treated as a missed appointment and charged accordingly under the Cancellation Policy.
12. Privacy & Data Protection
Balanced Acupuncture complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We collect and process personal and medical data for the purposes of providing safe treatment, managing appointments, and maintaining accurate records. Your information is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties except where required by law or with your explicit consent.

13. Right to Refuse Treatment
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if:
- You have not provided essential medical information.
- You are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Your behaviour is inappropriate, threatening, or unsafe.
- Treatment is deemed unsuitable or contraindicated.
This is for the safety of both clients and practitioners.
14. Liability for Personal Belongings
Balanced Acupuncture accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought onto the premises.
